Your complete guide to racing Round the County 2025
Round the County is more than just a race – it's a celebration of sailing in one of the world's most beautiful cruising grounds. Our goal is to provide safe, fair, and fun racing for all participants while navigating the spectacular waters of the San Juan Islands.
These Sailing Instructions, along with the Notice of Race, contain all the essential information you need for the race, including courses, safety requirements, scoring procedures, and communication protocols. Please review them carefully with your crew before the skippers' meeting.
Latest Update (v1.2): The Sailing Instructions have been revised to correct VHF channel numbers in Section 3.4. When transiting Vessel Traffic Lanes, boats must monitor the corrected channels: Channel 5A for Seattle Traffic and Channel 11 for Victoria Traffic. This is a critical safety update that all participants must note.
Previous Update (v1.1): Corrected data errors in Section 8 (MARKS).
